Job summary

Harkins Builders, Inc. is seeking a capable supervisor to oversee project engineers, assistants, trainees, and direct labor on complex construction sites in Asheville, NC.

You will drive production, quality, and safety while managing subcontractors and vendors to ensure profitable on-time completion. The role requires 3 years of progressive construction experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with scheduling, budgeting, and project software like Procore and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressive experience in construction.
• Ability to lead, coach, and train team members; foster a positive growth environment.
• Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, negotiation, field supervision, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational, leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Resolve issues with subcontractors in a timely, professional manner.
• Knowledge of subcontracts, bid language, and contract administration.
• Ability to create baseline schedules using logic/constraints.
• Experience with construction management software including Procore and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project engineers, assistant superintendents, trainees, and direct labor.
• Manage production, quality, safety, and timely completion through Subcontractors and vendors.
• Review subcontractor requisitions and invoices per company procedures.
• Coordinate shop drawings, samples, and specification sheets with the Lead superintendent.
• Enforce the safety program with zero tolerance on site.
