Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Specialist to install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm and life safety systems. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide technical installation support and training, while growing within a dynamic, values-driven culture.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical work, blueprint interpretation, and a commitment to safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, and panel installation.
• Comfortable testing fire systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and use test instruments.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with basic hand/power tools and reading schematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm and life safety, and building automation with minimal guidance.
• Work with customers and colleagues providing technical installation support and training.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to repair equipment.
• Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
• Own onsite project safety, quality and performance following Convergint Quality Standards.
• Suggest installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
• Learn and progress through the Electrical Installer trade program.
• Act as primary liaison to Project Lead and communicate issues promptly.
