Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full‑time Security Installation Technician to install, program, test, repair and service security, fire alarm and life safety systems. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams, providing installation support and training to ensure high standards and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong electrical aptitude, blueprint literacy, and hands-on use of tools. You will contribute to a safety‑driven, quality‑minded culture and advance through the trade

Qualifications

• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings to determine installation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment including security, fire alarm and life safety.
• Work with customers and colleagues to provide technical installation support and training.
• Interpret manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams to repair equipment and perform hand‑on tasks.
• Progress through the trade program by learning Electrical Installer duties.
