STV is seeking a Project Scheduler for the Construction Management Group in Los Angeles, CA.
Duties
- Develops and maintains program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects of various types.
- Interprets detailed construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, etc.) and understands work scope.
- Reviews Contractor’s Baseline schedule submissions, verifies proper scope identification and logical sequencing, and provides detailed review comments.
- Performs QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals, reviews critical path, cost loading, resource loading, schedule content, recovery schedules, logic, relationships, lags, constraints, and milestones.
- Performs schedule Time Impact Analysis for change orders, conducts schedule negotiations for delay settlements.
- Reads drawings to determine scope inclusion and understands contract terms for time extension considerations.
- Performs Critical Path and Earned Value analysis.
- Visits construction sites as needed, monitors contractor progress, and reports to project OAR and management.
- Communicates effectively with contractors on schedule and progress matters.
- Performs Program Schedule QA/QC reviews regularly.
- Updates Program/Master Schedules bi-monthly.
- Ensures proper use of standard codes, layouts, and reports for data integrity.
- Serves as liaison among project teams, leadership, and the department.
- Prepares reports as directed by management.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- At least 5 years of full-time professional experience in Construction Scheduling with an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in educational or public works projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management from a recognized college or university.
- Or a bachelor’s degree in any field plus an additional 2 years of Construction Scheduling experience.

- Understanding of cost engineering, scheduling, and schedule forensics principles.
Compensation Range
$98,010.59 - $130,680.78
