This is a full-time position with Los Angeles Unified School District.The ideal candidate for this Project Scheduler position would be an experienced professional with at least five years of hands-on experience in construction scheduling, ideally in educational or public works projects. They should be highly proficient in using Primavera and MS Office Suite and have a strong understanding of construction drawings, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil plans. This individual should excel in reviewing and analyzing contractor baseline schedules, performing critical path and earned value analysis, and ensuring schedule accuracy through quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes. They must be adept at identifying and resolving schedule discrepancies, conducting time impact analyses for change orders, and facilitating schedule negotiations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and management. A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is required, or a degree in any field combined with additional scheduling experience. The candidate should be able to manage and maintain program schedules, provide detailed progress reports, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of cost engineering, scheduling theories, and schedule forensics.
