Job summary

Res Group is seeking a Project Safety Manager I to implement the RESSystem (SMS) on wind, solar, substation, and energy storage projects in the US or Canada. Anticipated base salary range: $96,000–$120,000. Location: Balmorhea, Texas.

This role oversees safety programs, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance across multiple sites. The position requires a strong safety background with OSHA certifications, travel, and a commitment to maintaining safety metrics and site-specific plans.

Qualifications

• High school/GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• 3+ years of Construction Industry Safety experience required.
• 5+ years of Construction Industry Safety experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Domestic and international travel 76-100% required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
• Acts as subject matter expert and liaison for health and safety for the project team and client.
• Liaises with regulatory agencies during audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Develops and maintains site-specific documentation (Site Safety Plan, Site Rules, Emergency Response Plan, JHA, Site Orientation).
• Leads safety-related discussions at POD and other meetings.
• Directs safety incentive programs and compliance with SMS requirements.
• Inspects work areas for procedural, client, and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts incident investigations and develops corrective actions and incident reports.
