Job summary

RES is seeking a Project Safety Manager I to implement the Safety Management System (SMS) on wind, solar, substations, transmission, and energy storage projects in the US or Canada. You will coach teams, lead safety initiatives, and act as SME for health and safety with clients and regulators.

This role requires travel and a strong focus on incident investigations and corrective actions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30 or higher, and the ability to develop

Qualifications

• Promotes safety culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
• Serves as a liaison to regulators and third parties during audits and investigations.
• Develops and maintains site safety documentation such as JHA, Site Safety Plan, and Emergency plan.
• Drives incident investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety discussions at POD, All Hands, Tailgate, and Client/Owner meetings.
• Oversee Permit to Work processes and safety-related training.
• Maintain safety metrics and incident data for reports.
