RES seeks a Project Safety Specialist to implement the RES Safety Management System on wind, solar, substation, transmission, or energy storage projects across the US. You will coach teams, develop site safety documentation, and deliver regulatory-compliant training to ensure a strong safety culture.

The role requires extensive travel (75–100%), a current driver’s license, and experience with incident investigations, JHAs, and safety audits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in EH&S or 2 years related experience required.
• Bachelor's in EH&S preferred.
• EMT/First Aid/CPR/AED preferred.
• CHST/CUSP/OHST/NCSO/CHSC preferred.
• OSHA 30/OSHA 510 preferred.
• NFPA 70E/CSA Z462 preferred.
• Energy/Utility and Construction safety experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel 75–100%.

Responsabilités

• Promotes safety culture through coaching, development, influence, and training.
• Acts as health and safety liaison for the project team and client.
• Develops and maintains site-specific documentation (Site Safety Plan, Site Rules, Emergency Response Plans, JHA, Site Orientation).
• Delivers training on Safety Initiatives, Site Orientation, Work Procedures, SMS, and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in safety-related meetings and inspections.
• Inspects work areas for compliance with procedures, client and regulatory requirements.
• Reinforces safe behaviors and identifies at-risk behaviors.
• Procures and maintains safety materials and PPE.
• Conducts incident investigations and recommends corrective actions.
• Drives implementation of corrective actions and supports emergency response.
• Supports injury management and weather monitoring.
• Operates company vehicle as needed and attends scheduled work.
