Major/Essential Functions

• Provides administrative leadership and coordination for TTUHSCdefense and federal related contracts, programs, and initiatives. Position will oversee day-to-day operations, timelines, milestones,deliverables, reporting requirements, documentation, and otherinstitutional commitments throughout the program/grantlifecycle.
• Coordinates the operational execution of defense & federalprograms, including procurement, services, subcontractedactivities, equipment, resources, and other administrative needsnecessary to fulfill contractual requirements; identifies and helpsresolve or elevate administrative barriers that may impactprogram/grant performance.
• Serves as the Office of Research and Innovations's centraladministrative liaison for defense and federal activities thatrequires coordinating across investigators, Office of SponsoredPrograms, TTUHSC Finance, Procurement, Legal, Compliance,IT/security, facilities, and other institutional offices asappropriate.
• Coordinates with Texas Tech University System institutions andother external partners on the administration of collaborativedefense contracts and programs, helping align institutionalresponsibilities, resources, services, reporting, and programrequirements.
• Maintains administrative and financial visibility acrossTTUHSC's defense portfolio, including program budgets,expenditures, deliverables, deadlines, procurement activities, andother key requirements, and provides regular updates to Office ofResearch and Innovation's leadership on program status, needs, andpotential risks.
• Partners with research development offices as new defenseopportunities and partnerships are developed, providingadministrative and operational planning to support the transitionof new awards into TTUHSC while the development teams take the leadon defense and federal funding development and research growthefforts.
