Flowtec Construction is seeking a Project Manager to take full ownership of commercial projects in the downtown Chicago corridor. A family-owned Chicago GC with 50+ years in business, Flowtec delivers diverse commercial renovations, education, and institutional work with project values up to $40M.

The PM will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients, field teams, and leadership.

Formación

• Experience with a General Contractor on commercial construction projects.

• Public-sector experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and procurement.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to own multiple aspects of project delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and clients.
• Manage subcontractor buyout, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Take ownership of multiple aspects of project delivery while working with senior leadership.

I'm partnered with an established, family-owned Chicago General Contractor that's looking to add a Project Manager to its growing downtown team.

With over 50 years in business, this GC has built a strong reputation throughout the Chicagoland market, delivering projects across commercial renovations, K-12 education, public/institutional, and other commercial construction sectors, with project values reaching $40M.

One of the biggest selling points here is the opportunity to take full ownership of your projects rather than being limited to one portion of a much larger job. Project Managers are involved throughout the entire construction lifecycle, working closely with clients, field teams, and company leadership.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, forecasting, and overall financial performance
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and clients
• Manage subcontractor buyout, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, and trade partners
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
• Take ownership of multiple aspects of project delivery while working closely with senior leadership

What They're Looking For:

• Project Manager experience with a General Contractor
• Experience with commercial renovations, interiors, education, or institutional construction welcomed
• Public-sector experience is a plus, but not required
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and procurement
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skills
• Someone who enjoys a smaller, collaborative team environment with greater project ownership
• $110K–$135K base salary (depending on experience)
• All Chicagoland projects — no travel required
