Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Nashville, TN is seeking a Project Manager 2 to lead moderately complex projects, directing planning, coordination, and execution to align with the company's safety, quality and schedule goals.

You will manage preconstruction activities, subcontractor bidding, submittals, change requests, and project closeout, while mentoring teams and interfacing with owners, design professionals and vendors to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 7+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel and potentially work non-traditional hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages prestart checklist and submittal process.
• Supports preconstruction with quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope development.
• Leads buyout scheduling, pricing verification, and subcontractor management.
• Coordinates submittal schedules and ensures timely responses from suppliers.
• Develops and manages project schedule and resources to meet timelines.
• Prepares cost/margin forecasts and assists in budgeting.
• Leads monthly project reviews and closeout activities.
