Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager for NCDOT heavy civil work in the Charlotte market and across central North Carolina. You will manage NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects end-to-end, from preconstruction through closeout, leading field teams and coordinating with owners, engineers and inspectors.

You must have 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil projects with documented NCDOT experience; relocation to Charlotte is welcomed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work.
• NCDOT project experience as PM required; be ready to name the jobs.
• PM must have run projects in their entirety; not a junior step up.
• Contractor-side background; consultants/inspections only do not fit.
• Strong cost control, schedules, change orders and field-team management.
• Vista and HCSS HeavyJob experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent field experience.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• Charlotte area candidates preferred; relocation is welcome.

Responsabilités

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects as the Project Manager of record, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job you run.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as the main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and report performance to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and the handoff so the job starts right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
