Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Manager for a mid-sized General Contractor in Chicagoland, covering multifamily, residential, retail, and commercial sectors. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $130,000 annually. The role involves overseeing all construction phases, coordinating with architects and engineers, and managing teams and budgets.

Travel up to 25% is expected. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 4+ years of experience (APM/PM). PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of construction experience (must be a current APM or PM).
• Experience in multifamily or ground-up projects over $10M is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 25% or as needed.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all phases of construction projects from planning to completion.
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to meet project objectives.
• Managing and supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers.
• Preparing and presenting project proposals, reports, and other necessary documentation.

• Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project objectives are met.

• Preparing and presenting project proposals, reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Conducting risk assessments, identifying potential issues, and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and building regulations.
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Performing regular site inspections and coordinating necessary adjustments.
• Resolving any arising problems or complaints related to the construction process.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction (must be a current APM or PM).
• Experience within multifamily is a plus (or ground up projects over $10M).
• Willingness to travel 25% or on an as needed basis if a project is out of state.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various construction sites.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
