Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a seasoned Project Manager within the Advanced Facilities Group in Missouri. You will lead safety initiatives, manage preconstruction, and coordinate subs, owners, and design teams to drive project success.

The role requires 5+ years of construction management, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and strong skills in procurement, scheduling, Lean, and risk analysis. Some travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years construction management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work non-traditional hours.
• Must meet physical requirements and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentoring for an injury-free environment.
• Manages the prestart process and prep for bids and kickoffs.
• Supports preconstruction with quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope development.
• Leads buyout scheduling, pricing verification, and subcontractor selection.
• Manages submittal schedule and reviews shop drawings for timely submission.
• Ensures approved submittals are returned to subs and accessible to the team.
• Coordinates with Logistics on material and equipment pricing.
• Works with risk management on approval and bonding for subs; performs risk analysis.
• Coordinates diverse stakeholders including subs, owner, design team, vendors.
• Disseminates change requests and gathers subcontractor pricing input.
• Prepares and obtains owner/architect approval for changes.
• Leads monthly reviews and OAC meetings; manages pay applications.
• Develops project schedule with Superintendent and applies Lean practices.
• Identifies schedule impacts and develops mitigation plans.
• Documents decisions affecting budget, schedule, quality, safety.
• Provides regular reporting on project status and profitability.
• Forecasts cost and margins with input from the team and budget review.
• Leads project closeout using standard processes.
