Job summary

Firstsource seeks an Onsite Project Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a multimodal data collection research project within the San Francisco Bay Area. You will coordinate instructors, facilities, onsite staff, schedules, and multiple locations while keeping the remote Operations Manager informed.

In this hands-on leadership role you own project execution, solve problems in real time, and ensure the project stays ready, safe, and on track across indoor and outdoor sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing complex onsite projects across research studies, events, or field operations.
• Proactive, independent worker with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, schedules and locations.

Firstsource is hiring an Onsite Project Manager to lead day-to-day operations for an advanced multimodal data collection research project with a global technology company.

You'll serve as the on-the-ground operations leader, coordinating instructors, facilities, onsite staff, schedules, and multiple locations while keeping the remote Operations Manager informed. This is a fast-moving, hands-on leadership role where you own project execution, solve problems in real time, and ensure the project stays ready, safe, and on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Operations Manager's right hand; take ownership of day-to-day project execution across multiple Bay Area locations
• Coordinate instructors, facility partners, participants, onsite staff, equipment, and schedules across indoor and outdoor locations
• Assess locations for access, safety, privacy, permits, staffing needs, and scheduling; ensure readiness before sessions begin
• Lead and support onsite team members; ensure each location, partner, and workstream is prepared and aligned
• Identify risks early; solve operational issues in real time without waiting for step-by-step direction
• Monitor live session execution; address operational issues, capture data quality observations, and document lessons learned
• Maintain clear trackers, action items, risk logs, schedules, and status updates for the remote operations team
• Support project planning, mobilization, launch readiness, and preparation for potential scale-up

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years managing complex onsite projects: research studies, events, field operations, productions, or education programs
• Proactive operator who works independently, anticipates needs, and keeps projects moving without waiting for direction
• Highly organized professional managing multiple stakeholders, schedules, locations, and priorities simultaneously
• Confident people leader who coordinates staff, instructors, partners, vendors, and facilities effectively
• Strong problem-solver who identifies risks early, makes sound decisions under pressure, and communicates clearly
• Reliable transportation and comfort traveling between multiple Bay Area locations (indoor and outdoor environments)

Preferred Experience

• Participant-based or research operations background
• Managing temporary/contract teams
• Working with facilities, external partners, vendors, permits, or outdoor locations
• Supporting pilots or projects with potential to scale quickly

Duration:

Initial commitment approximately 1 month, with strong potential to extend to 3-4 months based on project needs and performance

Location:

San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Fremont/Newark/Union City area with regular travel to multiple indoor and outdoor session sites)

Schedule:

Full-time availability during active project phases; some evening/weekend work may be required
