Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Project Financial Advisor to support its Transportation and Infrastructure portfolio. The role partners with Project Managers to drive profitability, manage budgets, and ensure financial controls across multiple projects.

You will review performance, support forecasting, and provide insights on funding, billing, and contract requirements, enabling robust governance and transparent reporting for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, ACCA, CGA or equivalent designation preferred.
• 3–5 years of project accounting, project finance, or related experience in engineering, construction, environmental, consulting, or professional services organizations.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, budgeting, revenue recognition, and project profitability analysis.
• Experience supporting medium to large, complex project portfolios.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Experience using Power BI or similar reporting and data visualization tools to drive insights.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to support the financial success of projects.
• Provide guidance on project setup, budgets, WBS, billing methods, and rates.
• Review project financial performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support project forecasting, revenue recognition, and profitability management.
• Analyze labor utilization, project costs, and margins to improve project performance.
• Advise teams on project funding, contract requirements, and financial controls.
• Monitor contract terms, billing requirements, and revenue recognition methods.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and governance across the business.
• Assist with compliance reporting and maintain complete financial documentation.
• Provide financial reporting and commentary to project and finance leadership.
