Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to lead schedules, cost accounting and staffing for critical programs. You will coordinate with program management, engineering, sourcing and quality to deliver on-time results.

You will develop manufacturing plans, drive risk mitigation and support proposal efforts while maintaining configuration control and process improvements across the production cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Proven leadership and ability to influence teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and budgeting capabilities.
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing concepts and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules, cost accounting, and manpower planning for manufacturing programs.
  • Represent Operations as primary interface to program management, engineering, sourcing, quality, finance and other functions.
  • Develop manufacturing program plans and schedules with correct staffing for successful completion.
  • Drive issue resolution, mitigate risk, and coordinate shipping information with relevant teams.

THE WORK
Manufacturing Project Manager (MPM). Responsibilities include managing schedules, proposal and cost account responsibility, manpower planning, identifying and mitigating risks, upholding configuration control, and reporting within Production Operations. Will represent Operations as a primary and lead interface to the line of business program management, engineering, sourcing, quality, finance and other functions as required. Develop manufacturing program plans and schedules to ensure successful program completion with correct staffing levels.
Drive in problem resolution by understanding program goals, tradeoffs and schedules. Conduct reviews during the manufacturing cycle to identify issues, develop work around plans to mitigate risk and to implement process improvements. Coordinate shipping information with Program Manager and communicate to packaging/shipping organization. Coordinate make/buy policy and support implementation plans. Participate in proposal preparation for new business and for scope changes on the existing program.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
