Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead schedules, cost accounts, and staffing for complex programs. You will drive risk mitigation, maintain configuration control, and coordinate with program management, engineering, sourcing, quality, and finance to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

This role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility and a U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5 years of experience; or 3 years with a related Master’s.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
  • Leadership, lean manufacturing, analytical, and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage conflicts in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules and cost account responsibilities for programs.
  • Plan manpower and identify/mitigate risks.
  • Uphold configuration control and report within Production Operations.
  • Represent Operations as primary liaison with program management, engineering, sourcing, quality and finance.

THE WORK

Manufacturing Project Manager (MPM). Responsibilities include managing schedules, proposal and cost account responsibility, manpower planning, identifying and mitigating risks, upholding configuration control, and reporting within Production Operations. Will represent Operations as a primary and lead interface to the line of business program management, engineering, sourcing, quality, finance and other functions as required. Develop manufacturing program plans and schedules to ensure successful program completion with correct staffing levels.

Drive in problem resolution by understanding program goals, tradeoffs and schedules. Conduct reviews during the manufacturing cycle to identify issues, develop work around plans to mitigate risk and to implement process improvements. Coordinate shipping information with Program Manager and communicate to packaging/shipping organization. Coordinate make/buy policy and support implementation plans. Participate in proposal preparation for new business and for scope changes on the existing program.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
