Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL is seeking an Operations Program Manager to lead RMS production initiatives within the SEMS line of business. You will own cost, schedule, and quality, chair IPTs, and guide cross-functional teams through proposals, startup, and production execution.

The role requires EVMS knowledge, manufacturing process expertise, and a Lean/Six Sigma mindset to deliver on-time, on-budget programs for defense systems.

Qualifications

  • PM experience on development programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Understanding EVMS practices, compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including metrics creation.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily priorities.
  • CAM certification or experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma training (LM21 Green/Black Belt or equivalent).
  • Experience coordinating tasks with multiple functions.

Responsibilities

THE WORK

Project Manager supporting RMS production operations. This role will support the SEMS (Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems) line of business, specifically the production work in our Orlando, FL and La Mesa, MX factories. This role will include CAM responsibility and total ownership of quality, cost, and schedule performance for their assigned programs which includes both labor and material responsibilities.

  • Setting up manufacturing budgets (both labor and material) and executing earned value requirements for both
  • Leading proposals to include leading the proposal and authoring basis of estimates (BOEs)
  • Leading new program launches and leading the team through end item material delivery
  • Leading the IPT to ensure a Quality, on budget, and on time delivery
  • Analyzing and updating program schedules
  • Leading the IPT to develop production startup requirements
  • Responsible for execution of existing production lines
  • Identifying and coordinating implementation of internal process improvements
  • Supporting and participating in programmatic and technical reviews, briefings, and meetings
  • Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Who We Are

Our functional group, the Operations Program Management team, is composed of ~30 professionals with a range of skill and experience. Our team serves as Control Account Managers (CAMs) responsible for material budget and operations labor scope. We are leaders in this organization who are the primary interfaces between line of business Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality or other company functions for production, development, and capture programs for Production Operations. We ensure seamless support throughout the production process, ensuring successful delivery of contracted projects for our valued customers.

Basic Qualifications
  • Prior Project Management experience on development programs
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) practices, principles, compliance regulations
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite of tools to include performance metric creation
  • Ability to develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily priorities
Desired Skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
