Job summary

Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to perform skilled engineering and design work on renewable energy projects from our Connecticut offices, including Rocky Hill.

You will support permitting, design, and construction phases in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D and stormwater modeling skills are required, with Renewable energy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• MS is preferred.
• PE certification is preferred.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Hydro CAD and stormwater modeling software.
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organizational/time management skills required.
• Some travel to client meetings and project sites.
• Experience on renewable energy projects a plus.
• High ethical standards and commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil, land development, stormwater, utility designs for renewable energy projects including construction observation or administration.
• Prepare and submit permit applications supporting project development for municipal and private clients.
• Conduct presentations at public hearings to support permit applications for land use projects.
• Coordinate across disciplines and manage multiple projects in a team environment.
