Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated Project Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to support renewable energy projects across the country from our MA, NH, CT or Richmond offices. The role focuses on permitting, design, and construction phases within a growing Energy Practice.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, performing site civil, land development, stormwater, and utility designs, while preparing permit applications and presenting at hearings.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required; MS preferred.
• PE certification is preferred.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HydroCAD and stormwater modeling software.
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational/time management abilities; travel may be required.
• Renewable energy project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil, land development, stormwater, utility designs for renewable energy projects including construction observation or administration.
• Prepare and submit permit applications for project development.
• Conduct presentations at public hearings to support land use permit applications.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team; manage multiple projects and coordinate disciplines.
