Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated Project Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to perform highly skilled engineering and design work in our Massachusetts offices to support renewable energy projects across the country.

You will join a team delivering permitting, design and construction support for renewable energy developments, working with a multidisciplinary group and coordinating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; MS preferred.
• PE certification preferred.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Hydro CAD and stormwater modeling software.
• Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organizational/time management skills.
• Some travel to client meetings and project sites.
• Experience on renewable energy projects a plus.
• High ethical standards and commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil, land development, stormwater, utility designs, and specifications to support solar or other renewable energy development projects including construction observation or administration.
• Prepare and submit permit applications in support of the project development, representing our municipal and private clients.
• Conduct presentations at public hearings to support the permit applications for land use projects.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate multiple disciplines, and collaborate with multiple staff members in a team environment.
