Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Project Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to perform engineering and design work for renewable energy projects in the Mid-Atlantic region and selected offices. You will support permitting, design and construction phases and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.

Required BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering; MS preferred. PE is a plus, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD is desired. Some travel to sites and meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Hydro CAD and stormwater modeling software.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil, land development, stormwater, utility designs for solar or renewable energy projects.
• Prepare and submit permit applications for project development.
• Present at public hearings to support land-use permit applications.
• Coordinate multiple disciplines within a team and manage several projects.
