Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America is seeking an engineer to design and enhance conveyor systems and automated material handling solutions. You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, industrial, controls, software, and project management teams to deliver integrated, safe, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/industrial preferred) and internship or experience in material handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Industrial, or equivalent experience.
• Experience, such as an internship, within the material handling industry.

Responsibilities

• Designs/enhances conveyor and automated material handling systems; may work on a full project or phases of a larger project.
• Review design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling and resolving design/test problems.
• Create approval, permit, and installation drawings using AutoCAD.
• Obtain quotes and issue purchase orders for materials and products.
• Monitor project schedule, engineering time, and material costs.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated solutions fit within constraints.
• Travel up to 20% to client sites for measurement, commissioning and interfacing with customers.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Resolve engineering issues with customers, vendors and team members.
• Comply with Daifuku QMS policies and drive sustainable process improvements.
