Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation seeks a Project Engineer to design industrial storage and material handling systems, from quoting through final engineering. The role involves designing steel racks, platforms, conveyors, and related structures for large distribution centers.

You will create operation descriptions, fabrication drawings, and coordinate with vendors and project teams. The position requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 3 years of engineering design and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering design and project execution.
• Experience in design and project management for material handling systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs new automated and semi-automated material handling systems and customizes standard designs based on customer specifications.
• Creates operation documents to ensure designs meet customer expectations.
• Creates approval, permit, installation, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
• Obtains material and product quotes from vendors and issues purchase orders and estimates costs.
• Monitors project schedule, engineering time, and material costs.
• Interfaces with other disciplines on project teams to ensure fit within system constraints.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
