Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an engineering program planner in Colorado to coordinate planning, scheduling and execution of complex space programs. You will review designs for compliance, manage baselines, and collaborate with subsystems to resolve engineering issues.

This role requires CAM and IMS/EVM experience, a current DoD clearance, and a BS or higher. You will build metrics, set up project tracking infrastructure, and provide data-driven insights to management.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor workloads and track progress against tasks and labor capacity.
  • Prepare project metrics for Technical Leads and Management.
  • Drive planning tools and tracking systems like MS Project and Jira.
  • Assist with proposal creation using data from past projects.
  • Set up development and project tracking infrastructure for the team.
  • Consolidate data from multiple tools into a single database for analysis.
  • Support administrative tasks such as contractor onboarding and status reviews.

In This Role, You Will
  • Be responsible for proactively monitoring team member workloads, tracking progress against assigned tasks and labor capacity
  • Prepare project metrics for analysis by Technical Leads and Management.
  • Drive advanced features of project planning and tracking tools, such as MS Project and Jira.
  • Assist with proposal creation, leveraging data from past projects.
  • Set up development and project tracking infrastructure for the development team to ensure consistency and completeness.
  • Evolve department data collection and analysis from multiple tools into unified database.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as contractor onboarding, status collection, operations reviews, and other duties as outlined by Management.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Cost Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and/or Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
  • Ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; thus, a US Citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Program planning experience.
  • Experience in using Zuken schematic/cabling drafting tool (or similar) and Creo 3D modeling tool (or similar) centered in model-based engineering.
  • Collaborate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
