Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Project Engineer/Control Account Manager (CAM) to join the SDA Portfolio. The role sits at the intersection of engineering execution and program management, driving cost, schedule, and performance for the Systems Engineering team.

You will lead planning, budgeting, and coordination across programs, interacting with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining real-time visibility into headcount and estimates at complete.

Qualifications

Lockheed Martin is seeking Project Engineer/Control Account Manager (CAM) to join the SDA Portfolio supporting the SDA Systems Engineering team. SDA CAM Duties include leading, planning, budgeting, and managing the technical/schedule/cost performance for the Systems Engineering team. SDA CAM will sit at the intersection of engineering execution and program management — helping our Chief Systems Engineers (CSEs) maintain real-time visibility into headcount, schedule, and cost performance across multiple programs. This role requires precision, clear communication, and a continuous improvement mindset.

The Project Engineer will interact with a multi-disciplinary engineering team through development and production phases. The preferred candidate should have prior experience with cost, schedule, and technical management of systems with a significant budget. In addition to the primary role of a Project Engineer/CAM the candidate may be expected to provide support for other tasks to include ROM and Proposal coordination and input, which will include BOE coordination and writing.

In This Role You Will

• Address headcount challenges and resource constraints
• Manage control account performance and elevate concerns/issues to program management and/or other impacted stakeholders
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement approved actions
• Manage resources, analyze trends, and develop analytics to ensure credible schedules and Estimates at Complete (EACs)
• Identify and manage control accounts’ schedule health and critical path
• Analyze and report variances and proactively implement corrective actions
• Ensure all EVM required documentation is complete and meets compliance requirements for responsible control accounts
• Ensure current CAM certification and training is always maintained

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading organizational and project implementations while managing schedules, budgets, and cost constraints
• Experience acting Control Account Manager (CAM) or CAM delegate
• Working knowledge or experience supporting proposal or Basis of Estimate (BOE) activities
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project, Open Plan)
• Experience with earned value management principles and variance analysis
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or complex systems development environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products with advanced Excel skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
