Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support the OPIR NGG Geostationary Satellite program within the Program Management Office. You will lead program integration across IPTs and interface with government customers to manage expectations and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities include leading PMRs and program meetings, coordinating across teams to produce executive briefs, and supporting pre-coordination and negotiations through contract award.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management and peers.
  • Extensive project engineering or project management experience, collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge.
  • Able to synthesize data from multiple functional organizations into a holistic message (systems-thinking).
  • Active or Current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI

  • Lead and coordinate quarterly PMRs across classified and unclassified environments, managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely inputs.
  • Support new business and proposal activities, including TS/SCI classified proposals, ROMs, and studies; conduct evaluations and fact-finding with government customers; coordinate across teams.
  • Apply data analysis and data management skills to build datasets, develop metrics and graphs, and prepare proposal materials for senior leadership.

  • Responsibilities include leading program integration across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical and business organizations, and PMO functions to ensure effective information flow, coordination, and execution. Support contractual systems engineering by integrating technical and contractual information to meet program-specific requirements, and develop program-specific systems engineering knowledge and training materials.
  • Provide technical support to PMO leadership, oversee program Integrated Digital Environment/SharePoint sites, assess program effectiveness, and interface with government customers to support feedback, expectation management, and process improvement. Lead and coordinate quarterly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) across classified and unclassified environments, managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely, coordinated inputs.
  • Lead program business rhythms, including All Hands, PMRs, Weekly Status Reviews, and other program meetings. Coordinate across IPTs and cross-functional teams to develop meeting products, charts, and executive briefs, and facilitate USG-LM meetings with professionalism.
  • Support new business and proposal activities, including large-scale program-wide efforts from customer pre-coordination and negotiations through contract award. Lead TS/SCI classified proposals, ROMs, and studies; conduct technical evaluations and fact-finding with government customers; manage data and analysis; and coordinate across government and company technical teams to support proposal negotiations.
  • Apply strong data analysis and data management skills to build and manage datasets, develop key metrics and graphs, and prepare proposal materials and executive out-briefs for senior leadership. Domestic travel of less than 10% may be required.

Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $106600.00 - $198000.00
