Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Product Line Lead to own end-to-end execution of a product line, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, on-time solutions for the Navy customer. The role emphasizes managing scope, schedule, cost, and performance under demanding timelines.

The candidate will lead engineering programs, recruit and train staff, and ensure adherence to program requirements while maintaining DoD security clearance and US citizenship compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.

The Product Line Lead (PLL) functions as the “mini‑project manager” for a specific product line, owning end‑to‑end execution of that line’s scope, schedule, cost, and performance within the larger program. Acting as the single point of accountability, the PLL coordinates cross‑functional teams, manages stakeholder expectations, and drives delivery of high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget product solutions that meet the Navy customer’s requirements.

Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Deep understanding of the product line's technology and system architecture.
  • Experience leading and growing a team, including mentorship of junior staff.
  • Proven track record or identifying and mitigating issues, weighing cost, scheudle and technical.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing bottom-up cost estimates (labor, material, subcontractors), and managing accounts using EVM.
  • High-pressure resilience and ability to lead a team in meeting agressive timelines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
