Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer in Reston, VA, to lead site/civil engineering and land development projects. You will design water and wastewater systems, manage projects from entitlements to construction, and navigate permitting across agencies.

Qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) and PE licensure; Virginia experience preferred; strong AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• PE Licensure is required.
• Local experience in Virginia preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, SewerCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater distribution systems, surface water management, site grading, and roadway design.
• Oversee projects from entitlements through construction completion.
• Navigate and manage multiple permitting entitlements across agencies.
• Develop and implement permitting strategies to meet deadlines for developments and commercial projects.
• Engage with clients and government entities to strengthen relationships and support growth.
• Contribute to company growth by delivering high-quality projects and client satisfaction.
