Job summary

New York Power Authority's Project Delivery division seeks a Project Engineer to lead revitalization efforts for the New York State Canal System. You will manage all stages of complex canal-related projects, including water control structures, dam rehabilitation, and development of public recreation along the Canal front.

The position is provisional for up to three years with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to impact communities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or Energy Engineering and 6+ years in project/construction management.
• Experience managing complex projects in utilities or related industries.
• Knowledge of licensing, permitting, safety, and code compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead project lifecycle from initiation through closeout for highly complex projects.
• Coordinate internal and external resources and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Develop design documents, specifications, bid documents, and change orders; assess bids and award contracts.
