Job summary

New York Power Authority's Project Delivery division seeks a Project Engineer to join the Waterway Infrastructure team, leading revitalization of the New York State Canal System. You will manage complex projects from initiation through closeout, coordinating engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver safety, quality, and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience including at least 3 years in Project/Construction Management.
• Experience in utility, canal or related mechanical/electrical industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management through all lifecycle stages from initiation to closeout for highly complex projects.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for all project activities.
• Ensure licensing, environmental, permitting, safety, code compliance and stakeholders' inputs are incorporated from initiation through design.
• Develop and manage design documents, specifications, budgets, forecasts, bid documents, and award recommendations.
• Mentor and guide junior Project Engineers and collaborate with Construction Engineers and customers.
