Job summary

New York Power Authority seeks a Project Engineer to lead and execute revitalization projects for the Erie Canal, including water control structures and dam rehabilitation. The role involves high accountability, coordinating design, permits, safety, and stakeholder input across multiple teams.

The position requires a civil/mechanical/electrical/energy engineering background with 6+ years of experience (3+ in PM/construction).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in Project/Construction Management, preferably in utility or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of project lifecycle from initiation through close-out for highly complex projects.
• Coordinate internal and external resources; ensure licensing, permitting, safety, and code compliance.
• Develop and manage design documents, budgets, forecasts, and bid proposals; support contract changes.
