Job summary

The New York Power Authority is seeking a Project Manager for capital improvement projects related to the Canal System. The role involves managing projects from initiation to close out and requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Project / Construction Management is preferred.
• Experience in electric utility, canal/waterways, or related fields is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of project lifecycle from initiation to close out.
• Coordinate with in-house and external resources for project activities.
• Develop and manage design documents and project presentations.
• Review and contribute to project documentation including schedules and budgets.

Skills

Basic competency in project management of electrical, mechanical, structural, and water projects.

Collaborative and team-oriented ability.

Ability to develop project plans and work schedules.

Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.

Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering

New York State Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
