Job summary

New York Power Authority is seeking a Civil/Environmental engineer with 2+ years in project/construction management to support canal system capital improvements. You will organize project teams, manage schedules and resources, ensure safety and compliance, and oversee design and construction coordination.

The role is provisional up to three years with benefits and travel within NYS. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $110,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management through all lifecycle stages from initiation to closeout.
• Coordinate with in-house and external resources for project activities.
• Ensure licensing, permitting, safety, code compliance, and stakeholder input are incorporated.
• Develop/manage design documents, budgets, forecasts, and bid documents; evaluate proposals.
• Collaborate with Construction Engineers, customers, and service providers on change orders and construction sequencing.
• Review project documentation and assist with field testing and inspections.
• Possible emergency response outside normal hours.
