Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers ensuring work aligns with plans and specs. You will review shop drawings and submittals, coordinate with team members, and support scheduling and reporting on active construction projects in Houston.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, value analysis, and collaboration with subcontractors, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic, full-time environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to speak effectively with individuals and groups.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Willingness to adapt plans and work with others to meet goals.
• Ability to understand OSHA safety requirements and apply them on site.
• One year of field experience preferred; basic Spanish commands helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work installed meets plans and specifications.
• Reviews shop drawings, submittals, and project plans for consistency and value.
• Support scheduling, milestones, and coordination with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Publish weekly progress reports and distribute information to team members.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items and approvals.
• Advise on concrete pours, structural reinforcement, and testing procedures.
• Ensure safety practices are followed and report unsafe activities.
