Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest is seeking a Project Engineer to support Project Managers in ensuring installations meet plans and specifications on active projects. You will participate in schedule updates, coordination meetings, and documentation control while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, strong communication, and familiarity with blueprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Willingness to modify plans to meet goals.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications.
• One year of field experience preferred.
• Basic Spanish command understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals for conformity with plans.
• Communicates constructability and value‑related issues to the architect.
• Supports bidding and scope development for trade contractors.
• Updates project schedules and distributes milestones and meeting notes.
• Maintains logs of shop drawings, RFI, and change requests.
• Coordinates testing and field procedures to verify compliance with specs.
• Supports safety practices and reporting of unsafe activities to supervision.
