Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all contract functions for small HVAC projects and to back up Project Managers on larger retrofit construction efforts.

You will develop schedules, manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders, while coordinating design information and vendor activities to ensure on-time delivery and quality control. A strong multi-tasking capability is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or business management.
• 3+ years working experience in HVAC or building controls.
• Experience in submitting proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors.
• Strong verbal and listening communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and manage high volume work with accuracy and changing priorities.
• Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently with urgency.
• Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position involves planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and controlling all contract functions between Mesa Energy Systems and our client for small projects. This role will also assist and back up Project Managers for larger HVAC retrofit construction projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Create and manage design submittals, RFI’s and change orders
• Work with the Quality Control manager to create, review and edit required quality control documents
• Manage designers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure required design & installation information (is provided correctly and on-time.
• Review subcontractor & engineering performance and provide feedback to the Project Manager.
• Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and services from appropriate sources and maintains proper inventory control, maintenance and consumable supplies.
• Authority to review and approve design submittals to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management or business management.
• 3+ years working experience in HVAC or building controls.
• Must have knowledge of submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel; a thorough understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and operations and the ability to meet demanding customer requirements.
• Must have strong verbal and listening communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette as well as professional friendly demeanor.
• Proven ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with extreme accuracy and adjust to changing priorities.
• The ability to anticipate needs and solve job related problems independently and act with appropriate urgency.
• Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills
• Must possess valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle.
