Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Summary: Project/Systems Engineer (MSP Experience Required)

We are seeking an experienced MSP Project/Systems Engineer to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to lead IT implementation projects effectively. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure project success within defined timelines and budget constraints. You’ll be part of a skilled team dedicated to delivering mission-critical infrastructure with a focus on performance, security, and availability.

Location: Remote with travel, East Coast preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Office 365 and Active Directory upgrades/migrations/mergers
• Design and manage Microsoft-centric environments, including DNS, DHCP, ISP connectivity, and backups
• Configure and maintain firewalls (e.g., SonicWALL, Cisco) in alignment with security best practices
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies
• Implement and support routing, VLANs, and virtualization solutions
• Develop custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and automation
• Collaborate with vendors and IT teams to resolve technical issues
• Mentor and train team members on best practices
• Oversee day-to-day project activities and ensure alignment with business goals
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
• Estimate required resources and coordinate with key stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience managing IT implementation projects for small to mid-sized businesses
• Willingness to travel (~35%) as required
• Flexible availability, including occasional on-call responsibilities
