Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer for Clifton, NJ on-site engagement. This 12-month contract with possible conversion to hire offers hands-on leadership of engineering programs and close collaboration with PMs, planning, and line management.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day tactical duties, monitor budgets and schedules, and serve as the primary liaison across teams. A background in Electronic Warfare or related tech and active Secret clearance are required.

A client of Innova Solutionsis immediately hiring a Project Engineer.

Position Type: Full time contract, Possible Contract to Hire

Duration: 12months

Location: Clifton, NJ 07014 (Onsite/1st shift)

As a Project Engineer you will:

• Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned programs.
• Oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
• Serves as single point-of-contact between engineering project management and planning, engineering project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses engineering project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring engineering project progress, and for intervention and problem solving with engineering project managers, line managers, and customers.
• Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other engineering projects, missions, and programs.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management.
• Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.
• Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
• Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.
• Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
• Experience with the development, maintenance, and production of large scale
• Electronic Warfare systems, or other relevant technologies. In depth understanding of the program lifecycle, and lifecycle models, including Waterfall and Agile.
• This position needs Active Secret Clearance

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS

Pay Range*: $125-$129/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
