Job summary

AZCO is seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls with the PM team, ensuring deliverables stay within budget and schedule. You will set up projects in planning software, create WBS, and develop scheduling and cost reports across multiple projects.

You will also monitor schedules, validate progress, manage cash flows, and maintain earned value systems while coordinating with accounting and procurement. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of direct project controls experience required.
• Or applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes with the internal project management team to meet budget and schedule.
• Set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Create WBS and develop scheduling, cost, cash flow, and forecast reports.
• Monitor schedules, resource loading, and critical path techniques.
• Review and approve cost changes, PO/subcontract coding, and contingency costs.
• Interface with PM and Accounting to review costs and audits.
• Develop cash flow reports and various schedule reports.
