Job summary

AZCO is seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls with the internal PM team, ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule. You will set up projects in the Enterprise Planning & Controls system, analyze data, create WBS, and generate schedules, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple programs.

You will also develop and maintain a robust earned value system, monitor resource loading, and support audits and IPPM sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of direct project controls experience required.
• Or applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes with the PM team to execute deliverables within budget and schedule.
• Ensure project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
• Analyze data, review logs, and run reports in the software or other tools.
• Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Follow project execution plans.
• Cost control for engineering, procurement, and construction scheduling and logistics.
• Interface with PM and Accounting to review costs and support audits.
• Review change orders and develop cash flow reports.
• Develop various levels of schedules and monitor resource loading.
• Support IPPM meetings and maintain earned value management system.
