Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. This role focuses on energy project site civil design, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling across the U.S.

The ideal candidate will lead projects, mentor junior staff, and engage in business development while coordinating with CAD designers, environmental scientists, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 4+ years in civil/site design, erosion/sediment control, stormwater.
• Professional Engineer license in PA, OH, IL, FL, or TX or reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution including scope, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Design stormwater systems and erosion control measures per regs.
• Analyze utility crossings and minimize environmental impacts.
• Prepare construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Oversee permitting for SWPPPs and erosion control with agencies.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated designs.
• Provide construction-phase services and site issue resolution.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to drive satisfaction.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
