The Intelligence and Security Associates (ISA) is hiring a Project Analyst to monitor project performance, track deliverables, and analyze baselines within federal defense programs. You will support Project Managers and client leads by turning data into actionable insights and ensuring schedule compliance.

This role emphasizes analytical rigor, cross‑functional collaboration, and strong communication to drive program success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in project analysis/coordination in federal or defense contracting.
  • Proficiency with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), baselines, budgeting and performance tracking.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Hands-on experience with project planning platforms (MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting findings to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes project schedules, baselines, financial burn rates, and resource utilization across client portfolios.
  • Researches operational data, client requirements, and program risks to support strategic decisions.
  • Identifies process inefficiencies, variances, and bottlenecks across task orders.
  • Compiles executive dashboards and performance metrics using Power BI and Excel.
  • Coordinates cross‑functional deliverables, action logs, and project communications.
  • Facilitates status reviews, sprint planning, and risk management workshops.
  • Prepares technical briefings, project docs, meeting minutes, and presentations.
  • Summarizes complex data into clear narratives for senior leadership.

Operating within federal defense and national security programs, this professional supports Project Managers and client leads by synthesizing project data into actionable insights, ensuring schedule compliance, and optimizing resource management. They are responsible for gathering performance data, calculating burn rates, monitoring milestone completion, and maintaining project documentation repositories. Working closely with Project Managers, Finance, and technical execution teams, the Project Analyst identifies schedule and budget variances, assists with risk management, prepares executive reports, and supports continuous process improvement initiatives.Duties:Analyzes project schedules, performance baselines, financial burn rates, and resource utilization across client portfolios.Researches operational data, client requirements, and program risks to support strategic decision-making.Identifies process inefficiencies, project variances, and potential schedule bottlenecks across task orders.Compiles executive dashboards, quantitative reports, and performance metrics using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Advanced Excel.Coordinates cross-functional team deliverables, action item tracking logs, and project communications.Facilitates project status reviews, sprint planning syncs, and risk management workshops.Prepares technical briefings, project management documentation, meeting minutes, and presentation materials.Evaluates resource allocation data, subcontractor invoices, and contract performance metrics.Processes baseline modification requests, deliverable approvals, and official project correspondence.Establishes standard operating procedures (SOPs), centralized document repositories, and project tracking templates.Summarizes complex project data into clear, actionable narratives for senior project leadership and stakeholders.Reinforces ISA’s corporate culture and mission-focused delivery approach.Other Duties:Duties, responsibilities, and activities can change at any time based on position requirements. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain the trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government.Experience Required:4-6 years of experience in project analysis, project coordination, or financial tracking within a federal government or defense contracting environment.Demonstrated proficiency with project management concepts, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and performance baseline tracking.Hands-on experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau).Practical experience utilizing project planning and task management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence).Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting analytical findings to project leadership.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field required.Certification:Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) through PMI, Agile/Scrum credentials (e.g., CSM, CSPO), or advanced Microsoft Excel certifications are preferred.
