The ability to meet across teams at the office and cross-pollinate information is critical to our success. **Responsibilities:**The IT Specialist / Business Systems Analyst provides end-to-end technical support, systems analysis, and workflow optimization across ISA’s program portfolio. They are responsible for evaluating software and hardware solutions, mapping business processes to IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting tier-2/tier-3 system issues. Working closely with Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Cybersecurity leads, and client stakeholders, the incumbent authors user stories, supports system testing and integration, maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), and monitors system performance baselines to ensure high availability and seamless mission support.## Qualifications**Duties:*** Elicits, analyzes, and documents technical, functional, and operational requirements from end-users, government leads, and technical teams.* Evaluates enterprise IT systems, cloud environments, software tools, and infrastructure to identify operational bottlenecks and integration opportunities.* Configures, tests, and supports business applications, database interfaces, and enterprise software tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure/AWS services, Jira, Service Now).* Develops business process flowcharts, data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and swimlane workflows.* Administers IT service delivery workflows, user access controls, asset tracking, and tier-2/3 technical support escalations.* Designs and executes system test scripts, integration test plans, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios to validate technical implementations.* Authors standard operating procedures (SOPs), system user guides, technical documentation, and training materials for enterprise systems.* Collaborates with cybersecurity personnel to ensure IT systems comply with federal security baselines (NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC).* Monitors IT system metrics, network/application uptime, database integrity, and operational logs to proactively resolve technical issues.* Facilitates technical briefings, vendor reviews, and sprint reviews within Agile/Scrum or ITIL service frameworks.* Reinforces ISA’s corporate culture and mission-focused delivery approach.Other Duties: Duties, responsibilities, and activities can change at any time based on position requirements. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain the trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government. **Experience Required:*** 6+ years of direct experience in IT systems administration, business systems analysis, or technical application support within a federal government or defense contracting environment.* Demonstrated experience eliciting business requirements and translating them into technical system specifications, data models, and workflow diagrams.* Practical working knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, ticketing systems, and enterprise cloud/hybrid environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS, M365/GCC-High).* Hands-on experience with systems testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), bug tracking, and release management using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.* Basic knowledge of federal cybersecurity controls (NIST, CMMC) and database fundamentals (SQL, Dataverse, or relational databases).* Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with both technical staff and executive stakeholders.**Education:*** Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Systems Engineering, or a related quantitative field required.**Certification:*** CompTIA Security+ CE, Network+, ITIL Foundation/Practitioner, Agile/Scrum credentials (e.g., CSM, CSPO), or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform / Azure Associate designations are preferred.
