Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Project Administrator in our Location Contracting group. You will support project lifecycle from award to close-out, liaising with Project Managers, contracts, legal, and finance to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and experience with financial processes. Expect hybrid onsite work with some overtime as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; up to two years of related experience or training.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to solve problems, make decisions, think rationally and exercise good judgement.
• Experience prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with financial systems and basic accounting; AR/AP experience is a plus.
• Construction law/regulation knowledge is a plus.
• HVAC knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to overtime/work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow established work processes and use enterprise systems.
• Coordinate project transitions from Sales to Operations in systems.
• Administer projects through their life cycle to ensure contract compliance and delivery.
• Manage procurement: issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor tracking.
• Coordinate monthly invoicing per customer requirements and PM direction.
• Record project costs accurately: timesheets, forecasting, invoices, and reports.
• Collaborate with project team and stakeholders to resolve obstacles.
