Job Description

As a Project Administrator, you will be responsible for leading the CEI team on a day-to-day basis. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with a thorough understanding of FDOT construction engineering and inspection processes, are essential. You should be able to work effectively with client staff and external stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Makes and checks engineering computations.
  • Prepares meeting agendas and leads meetings.
  • Prepares project documentation.
  • Conducts material sampling and testing.
  • Verifies quality control measures.
  • Coordinates and manages inspection and project staff.
  • Assists with the preparation of monthly progress and Final Estimate packages.
  • Interprets plans and specifications, discusses deviations, and ensures compliance with construction regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of responsible engineering experience with 2 years in major road or bridge construction.
  • FDOT Advanced MOT certification.
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
  • Completion of CTQP QC Manager Course and passing the exam.
  • Completion of the Critical Structures Construction Issues Self-Study Course.
  • Minimum 40 hours/week availability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment, receive general instructions, and direct inspectors.
  • Responsible for project progress and final estimates throughout construction.
