CEI Project Administrator - Project Manager

Overview

PRIME AE Group, Inc., a top 500 ENR-ranked multi-disciplinary firm with 22 offices across 9 states and over 500 employees, is seeking a CEI Project Administrator / Project Engineer in Jacksonville, Orlando, or Tampa. The role involves managing infrastructure and roadway improvement projects, including Construction Engineering and Inspections.

Position Details

The successful candidate will oversee various FDOT district projects, coordinate with contractors and utilities, and supervise personnel. Work is performed under the guidance of a Sr. Professional Engineer or Project Manager, exercising initiative and independent judgment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects, supervise staff, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Prepare project estimates, conduct evaluations, and resolve complex construction issues.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews, oversee materials testing, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Ensure contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Communicate project status to clients and team members regularly.
• Develop policies and participate in project meetings.
• Lead project teams and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant transportation project experience, or a Master’s degree with 1+ year experience.
• PE registration in Florida or ability to obtain within six months.
• Knowledge of FDOT standards and construction contracts.
• Completion of required training courses (e.g., CTQP, FDOT courses).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
