Job summary

Manhattan GC, a Manhattan-based general contractor, is hiring a Staff Project Accountant to support project managers on a portfolio of active jobs in an in-office role.

The role focuses on owner billings, subcontractor payments, job-cost data, and monthly cost reporting. Candidates should have 2–4 years of project accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with familiarity in Sage 300 CRE and Procore a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or a related project-based industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of Sage 300 CRE (Timberline), Procore, or similar construction ERPs a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and an eye for detail.
• Someone who wants to learn the trade from the ground up at a high-performing firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AIA G702/G703 owner billings and supporting documentation
• Review and process subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and insurance certificates
• Maintain job cost data, change order logs, and contract compliance files
• Support PMs with monthly cost reports and reconciliations
• Track subcontractor compliance (W-9s, COIs, vendor setup)
• Assist with month-end close and ad-hoc projects for the Controller

We're hiring a Staff Project Accountant to join our finance team and support project managers on a portfolio of active jobs.

This is an in-office full-time position based in Midtown.
