Job summary

LeoForce, a Manhattan-based construction firm, is seeking a Staff Project Accountant to join the finance team and support project managers on a portfolio of active jobs. This in-office, full-time role offers exposure to ownership and senior leadership from day one.

You will prepare owner billings, review subcontractor payments and COIs, maintain job-cost data, and assist with month-end close, providing a clear path to advancement within a growing company.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or a related project-based industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction ERPs (Sage 300 CRE/Timberline, Procore) is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AIA G702/G703 owner billings and supporting documentation.
• Review and process subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and insurance certificates.
• Maintain job cost data, change order logs, and contract compliance files.
• Support PMs with monthly cost reports and reconciliations.
• Track subcontractor compliance (W-9s, COIs, vendor setup).
• Assist with month-end close and ad-hoc projects for the Controller.

We are a Manhattan based midsize, principal-led GC building some of New York City's most complex large-scale, mixed-use, hospitality, and residential projects.

We're hiring a Staff Project Accountant to join our finance team and support project managers on a portfolio of active jobs.
